Happy Halloween EVERYONE!!

K, I know Halloween was like 3+ months ago, but I'm still playing catch up!

We had a great Halloween!  We celebrated throughout the week!

On Monday, October 25th, we went to the Riverton City Halloween party.  It was a lot of fun!  They had a little Easter Egg type hunt (with black and orange Easter Eggs) and a bunch of candy scattered all over the city park lawn.  It was at night, so the kids had to use flash lights (which I forgot) to find the prizes!  They had so much fun!

I know the LAST thing they need is MORE candy at Halloween, but I'm a sucker for fun, FREE things!  I'm also always looking for ways to create fun childhood memories for the kids!  They love it!

After we came home from the city Halloween party

On Friday, October 29th, I went to the kids school to see them in their school Halloween parade.  It was a lot of fun.  Afterward, I helped with Derek's class party.  Later on that day I helped with Brooklyn and Tyler's class parties.  I was glad I was able to go to all of their parties (and amazed none of the times overlapped!).

That night, we went to Kev's work Halloween party.  It's always a lot of fun and the kids look forward to it every year.  They have pizza and cookies and then the kids "trick-or-treat" to all the offices.  It's fun!

At Kev's work party.  Benjamin was supposed to be Buzz Lightyear, but he found this Zorro hat and toy gun in the Halloween box just before we left, and insisted he be a cowboy!  Soooo....he was a cowboy!

On Saturday, October 30th, Kevin ran a half marathon with his brother, Neil.  It was the "Provo Halloween Marathon."  Kev and I wondered why they called it a "Marathon", when it was only a half!?  hmmm?  They had fun and the weather was PERFECT!  I drove down there with some of the kids (and all the mobs of people!) to see them finish!  We saw Kevin run right by us just before the finish line.  It was cool.

That night, we took the kids Trick-or-Treating (since Halloween was on a Sunday, we celebrated on Saturday).  Sadly, the weather was awful and rained most of the night.  We had to drive the kids around in the van part of the time.  The kids were still "hard-core" though and stuck it out.  Tyler went with one of his friends and not us (for the first time...sniff...)  He had a lot of fun though.

We took the kids to a house by us that goes ALL OUT for Halloween.  It's pretty amazing!  They set everything up only a day or two before Halloween and have so many fun Halloween decorations.  They had a haunted house set up in the backyard too that the kids "enjoyed".

We also took the kids to another house by us that serves hot dogs and hot chocolate.  It's always a lot of fun!  They also give the kids candy and a new box of crayons.  I think it's awesome.  We had a great, yet chilly and wet, night!

Just before we left to go Trick-or-Treating...Ben still didn't want to be Buzz Lightyear....sigh.
Tyler has never been "into" Halloween costumes much, even when he was little.  He was a baseball player for the school Halloween party and Kev's work party.  For Trick-or-treating, he decided to be ummmm...this!
Brooklyn was an adorable cave woman.  She borrowed this costume from her cousin and loved it!  Brooklyn still had to find a way to make her costume "glam" (even a cave lady!)  She added dangly Halloween earrings, sparkly eyeshadow, and shiny black lip gloss!

Derek REALLY wanted to be a skeleton.  He loved it!
Jacob must be a #5 child.  I really didn't want to bother with dressing him up, but the kids really WANTED to dress him up!  I found this costume in the Halloween box and he wore it for about 5 minutes.  He wasn't too fond of it. ;-)

After Trick-or-treating!  Tyler looks to be on a "sugar-high!"

Benjamin didn't want to stop eating candy long enough to pose for a picture!
Derek...
Jacob enjoyed "playing!"

I love all the candy! Halloween is our favorite holiday. And by the way, you look so freakin' good in that picture with you and Kevin. Way to go Mom of 5!
