In August, our family went to Vivian Park up Provo Canyon. We went with my parents and my sister Holly and her family.
A couple of my uncles have cabins up there and we used to go up there quite a bit when I was a kid. My mom's family started going up there before she was born. They loved it so much that they had a cabin built and spent a lot of time up there. My uncle Bob built a cabin a couple doors down from the family cabin and they spend a lot of time up there as well. We used to love to go visit and play in the creek, climb "White Mountain", play at the park, walk up and down the streets and peak at the "Witches Cabin" (an old dilapidated cabin). We also enjoyed playing cards, listening for the Heber Creeper and roasting hot dogs. I made a lot of fun memories there.
So, we decided to go up and visit and we had a great time! Several of my aunts, uncles, and cousins were up there as well. We had a lot of fun. We had lunch and hung out together and the kids had fun playing in the creek and the playhouse. A group of us even went tubing down the Provo River! Everyone had a great time!

Grant and Derek hanging on the pole at my uncle's cabin (the old family cabin). There used to be a swing on that pole that my sisters and I loved to swing on. By the way, doesn't Derek's neck look funky in this picture??? I don't know what is going on. |
