Handcart Days 5k

On the 24th of July, I ran a 5k with my sister, Holly and my brother, Richard.  It was the Handcart Days 5k in Bountiful at the South Davis Recreation Center.  It was so much fun, but I was way slow and out of shape (it had only been 3 1/2 months since Jacob was born).  We all ran together, which was fun, but I slowed us all down.  We finished right around 30 minutes.  I was amazed by what a monumental task running 3.1 miles was for me, but I was so glad I did it.

There was also a fun kids run afterward.  It was 1/2 mile race.  Derek ran it along with his cousins; Preston, Grant, Kinley, and Logan.  Tyler was going to run, but decided to be a cheerleader instead.

We all enjoyed the nice chuck-wagon breakfast afterward.
